I am pleased to announce the immediate availability of DOCman 1.5.9. This is a maintenance release which solves some tricky bugs and many minor annoyances.
As always those whom purchased DOCman 1.5 will receive an email with download information to the update package and those whom have not purchased it yet can head over to the Joomlatools store and do so right now!
You may have encountered strange behaviors when assigning modules to DOCman menu items. When you click links from DOCman or its modules, the modules you assigned to DOCman may not appear. That’s because DOCman doesn’t generate the correct Itemid on URLs. This was a major bug that’s fixed now.
This bug also caused other problems related to SEF and menu permissions. If you encountered issues like these, this release just fixed it.
Items inside sub-categories are now returned when you search its parent category. Also, an unexpected behavior when searching for “Title Only” was fixed.
A fix has been made to avoid broken URLs when the titles of documents have non-latin characters such as Chinese or Arabic. Broken URLs in re-directions, such as after saving, has been fixed as well.
Permission problems have also been fixed such as when Administrators can’t see a category even if it is set to “Special”. A permission bug when using DOClink has also been squashed.
There are also many other minor bugs that were fixed for this release. A detailed list of the improvements for this release can be found on the changelog.
We thank everybody who have been reporting bugs on our forums and being patient as we worked hard to squash them. DOCman is getting better thanks to you!
